A simple functional arrangement divides the rectangular footprint equally between the banking hall and support areas. The modular grid places landscaped pools, with planting in recessed stone rills, around the exterior of the building, inverting the form of the Moroccan riad, with its central courtyard. The branches are designed to be energy efficient, combining modern technology with centuries-old methods of passive climate control. The interior design project for the NKBM Bank branch utilises a territorializing system that was developed as a set of basic functional elements. They regulate the spatial ratio between customer and employee areas and provide private spaces for banking discussion.The conventional vertical screen mutated into a deformed glass shell of a complex geometry in order to provide optimal spatial ergonomics in a limited amount of space. Using a computer modeling algorithm, the geometry was triangulated in order to simplify production. Glass triangles are locally assembled with steel clips, which enable angle adjustments for individual fixation. Glass shells are a self-supporting system that doesn't require additional structure.Variable opacity is provided with a geometrical print of three different densities on the inside of the shell; organic patterns on the exterior visually unify the screen set....more

Bank Interior | "Private Banking" Zentrale | Frankfurt , Germany | Wittfoht Architekten

Situation:
The particular task and the particular situation of BHF-Bank in central Frankfurt are very close to the Alte Oper, the defining moments for our design of the new private banking sector.
The buildings of the Bank was in the sixties by Sep Ruf, one of the most important post-war architects in Germany, designed and implemented. The complex consists of three parts of the building, the flat atrium, connecting the central block and the 23geschossigen skyscraper. The central building is located along the upper road, separating it from Lindau Rothschild Park. At the upper Lindau is a spacious driveway, on reaching the main entrance. From the main entrance that opens into the atrium or via a lift system in the floors of the intermediary. This situation is to receive in connection with the newly created private banking division, which will occur on the ground and 1st floor of the central building, to be reorganized and made more.

Design approach:
The newly designed access situation is to function as a generous reception and distribution area, without disturbing installations.
